Reinhard Heydrich was in my opinion the epitome of the Aryan ideal.
He was one of the main architects of the Holocaust and a SS-Obergruppenführer (General). Heydrich chaired the January 1942 Wannsee Conference, which laid out plans for thefinal solution to the Jewish Question—the deportation and extermination of all Jews in German-occupied territory.
He is viewed as one of the darkest figures of the nazi elite. Adolf Hitler christened him ‘The man with the iron heart.’
Heydrich was attacked in Prague on 27 May 1942 by a British-trained team of Czech and Slovak soldiers who had been sent by the Czechoslovak government-in-exile to kill him in an operation code named Operation Anthropoid. He died from his injuries a week later.
After his death the SS linked his assassination back to the villages of Lidice and Ležáky, all adult males were executed and only a handful of women and children were spared, only to later be killed in concentration camps.
